AL SADIQ CASKET

This is a replica of a rare 17th-century Iranian casket designed by Sadiq and found in the Museum of Ethnology in St. Petersburg. The artist has removed animal figures added to the casket in the 19th century, as well as a calligraphic imprecation by the craftsman, which read, "In the transient world may the work remain of Sadiq - an eternal master!" Through Randa Fahmy's reinterpretation, the work of this eternal master has remained in its original purity.
