MISHKAH SULTAN HASAN

Based upon a 14th-century lamp most probably used as an ornament in a religious building during the reign of the Mamluk Sultan Hasan, this form replicates that of the classical glass mishkah. The inscription reads:

"In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate."

"God is the Best of Protectors."
