This four-sided polished brass thurayya was commissioned by a private client from Saudi Arabia for a mansion in Riyadh. The artist based the design upon ornamental gypsum work found in the traditional architecture of the Central Province of Saudi Arabia.

The main body of the chandelier is formed of a central rectangular panel with an openwork geometric quatrefoil medallion with swirling rosettes at each corner. The panel is surrounded by a band etched with a geometric double-diamond pattern. A panel of incised inverted crenelations forms an overhang above the main body, which is surmounted by a splayed etched openwork parapet with crenelations. This section is, in turn, surmounted by an etched and perforated dome and globular finial.
